I think his discharge instructions should have read – keep the cat form teasing the dog instead of try to limit his activty for the next several days. I would have more luck with that. How is it that dogs won’t, don’t, or can’t self limit their activity. The only time I can keep him from trying to jump up and run is to take him outside. Alas, at least I am getting sun on my pastey white legs, hahaha.
short of a crate, or an ex-pen…it’s hard to keep them quiet inside…often, the pain meds are so powerful, they knock out our pups and they sleep for the first couple of days…. but, sun is good!

Dozer and Twix have a cat and mouse relationship. Just right now it’s not bext for Dozer as he is 2 legged. He is starting to use his third leg, but just trying to keep him from over doing. Twix just has an unfair advantage right now and she is flaunting it.
As I just mentioned on Cheetos blog, we let Abby hang out in the yard all she wanted when she was recovering. She just really didn’t want to be confined to the house. I would leave the door standing open so I could keep an eye on her, but she was happiest just chilling out in the open air. Dozer must feel the same way! Vit D is very good!

I think he is afraid we will stick him back in a hotel suite again. Sitting outside with my pup is where I like to be anyway. Gives me an excuse to not do laundry until later, lol.
We spoiled Shadow. When he wanted up on a bed daddy picked him up, when he wanted down daddy picked him up. What ever it was. His sister Daisy always made sure she got in in the action somehow. Ok, we have always spoiled them! We did worry about him overdoing it, but maybe because of his age he seem to know not to. I know the pain meds affected his behavior also.
Dozer just went in a full on gallop across the living room cause one of our cats was on his bed by the patio doors. He so wants to play with them, he doesn’t seem to know that his size is what scares them. When he is laying down the cats come right up to him. I am not ashamed to admit Dozer is horrbly spoiled. We even took the slats out of our bed so the mattress and box springs are on the floor to make it easier to help him in and out of bed. He seems to teach/train me something new each disaster we go thru.
