One tired Dozzy

We spend a wonderpaw afternoon with Connie, Canine Health Resort, and her tripawds and quadpaws alike. Dozer tried to be a normal dog. Got wet in the pond, rolled in the field and barked to let everyone now he was around. It did him sooooo much good. He has slept well and even ate good this evening. Just one problem so far is that the trip out of the hotel to get to the grass is too taxing for dozer that he is so fatigued he can’t stand to pee. Well, that’s not going to stop us, we made a quick trip to HomeDepot for some rope and a tarp, made our own litter for the tired doggie. Poor thing didn’t know what to think at first but we got the big tail wag on the way back.

might consider a ruff wear harness for dozer, as it has a handle on the top, which you can use to help ‘hold’ some of his weight during walks, or while taking a leak… glad he continues to do so well.

Thanks, we have a help em up harness, handle at both ends. He has had so much activity the last several days we are going more holding up than helping up. He is 2 legged right now and having pain issues. Being a saint he is being stubborn, he get up if it’s on his terms. He is undergoing his first SRT today so we are saying prayers his pain is better and will use his 3rd leg.

thanks. he had his first SRT this morning. he’s not real happy right now. he can’t get comfortable and is so tired of being manipulated over the last few days he won’t let us help. right now i’m sitting in the floor with him as ecery few minutes he tries to sit up and look around like he can’t find us.
Sorry to hear about your dog. Cancer sucks. And is even worse in our puppies. Hope she is doing well.
Dozer has been a tripawd for a 13 months, he lost his right rear do to sever hip dysplasia and multiple surgeries over 4 yrs. If there is anything i can do to help or advice let me know.
