We had to let our d’oh go today. He tried so hard to stay with us. In the end he was wagging his tail and eating his favorite treats. He even sat up and wagged his tail when Dr. Phil came in, he was happy to see one of his friends. But he was so restless at night and weak. Not to mention how difficult it was for him to breath. I knew I made the right decision when as he was falling asleep, his face was relaxed and he laid his gib ‘ol head in my had for one last ear rub. Be free of pain my friend, run with your girl dog Maggie. I miss you very much.
I’m very sorry to hear it was Dozer’s time to move on from this world. He was a beautiful boy, and you did all you could for him. I know what it’s like when they have trouble breathing. Our Max had the same problem at the end. Sending consoling thoughts to you.
Bless you for all you did for sweet Dozer. May he run free of pain and rest in peace at the Bridge. Thank you for sharing his story, his spirit shall live on here forever.
Oh, I’m so sorry to see the news about your beautiful Dozer. Abby was the same with her breathing at the end, but still happy in all other ways. I know how hard it is to let them go.
I hope that Abby is up there shamelessly flirting with him now. She loves the handsome boys. I hope he’ll send you a sign that he’s made it to the Bridge okay. He’ll always be with you in your heart.
Thinking of you today,
Jackie, Angel Abby’s mom
Our hearts go out to all of you, we know how painful it is to say goodbye. He put up such a strong, courageous fight and you were all a beautiful example of making the most of a tough situation.
Please know that goodbye is not forever: Dozer will be by your side, always. He will be missed by all of us.
I’m so sorry to see that Dozer is gone. I know how hard you all fought for Dozer to have a great life, and I wish he could have been with you for much longer. Thank you for making the really hard decision that was best for him. He will always be there in your heart.
